Passing on Faith
Resources are available to families to help them pass on the faith to their children. A page of ideas is provided in each month's newsletter. One idea that came from this program is providing FaithChests to each child baptized in Peace Lutheran Church to collect symbols, books, memories, gifts, stories, photos relating to faith life of the child.
Natural Church Development
NCD Web site Peace Lutheran Church has undertaken the process of Natural Church Development, which will guide the congregation towards its future ministries. The "leverage point" identified for Peace Lutheran Church by the surveys is Gift-Oriented Ministry. That means we need to match each person's giftedness with a ministry that fits their gifts. Several spiritual gift inventories have been collected and are being compiled to present to the membership. It is the goal of the planning committee to get everyone who is a member involved in a ministry inside or outside of Peace Lutheran within a year's time. If the ministry that we are involved in matches our giftedness, then amazing things will be done through us as we listen to God's calling for us. "Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received." ~1 Peter 4:10 NRSV
Spiritual Gift Assessments
Part of the Natural Church Development process is determing the spiritual gifts of each member in order to guide them in the use of the gifts to the glory of God.. Links to AssessmentsLutheran Marriage Encounter
