the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

In Ephesians 2:8, Paul writes, "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your doing. It is the gift of God."As Christians who are Lutheran, we say "We are justified (saved) by God’s grace alone, through faith alone, on account of Christ alone." We know that in spite of the fact that we are unacceptable, for Christ’s sake, God has accepted us just as we are. We know that we are saved by God’s free grace alone and God’s grace does not waver like our feelings of faith. So as God’s sent people, let us hold on to God’s grace and be God’s ministers and witnesses to all those around us everyday of our lives.
We, though many, are made one in Christ to serve all. Christ is the cornerstone of our faith, and through Christ, we strive to be a cornerstone of our community.

CONGREGATION DISCUSSIONS
There is some input regarding more discussion regarding the ELCA vote before the February meeting. There will be opportunities for individuals to meet on Sunday afternoons at 2:00 p.m. The format of these meetings will be flexible based on the needs of those attending.
LCMC MEETING

Bill Sullivan will present information on Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC) and he will be available to answer questions.
SECOND OFFICIALLY CALLED SPECIAL MEETING
In compliance with Peace Lutheran’s Constitution, a Second Officially Called Special Meeting has been called for on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at 12:30 P.M. following the Second Worship Service. This Second Officially Called Special Meeting is for the purpose of taking the required Second Vote to terminate Peace Lutheran’s affiliation with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and to affiliate with Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC). All voting members are encouraged to be in attendance.
Clothes Closet at Peace
Shop! Share! Swap!...or just snoop! THE CLOTHES CLOSET at PEACE Lutheran
church is open! We have a lot of new beautiful items downstairs. It is fun to
go and look for something new to wear, and it is great to clear out cramped
closets. The CLOTHES CLOSET is a Win! Win! Win! place.
Follow the signs to find it. It is open in the mornings from 10 a.m. to noon
and 1-2 p.m., Tuesday through Friday during the school year. You may also visit the CC anytime the
church is open for an activity or service. If you see an item of interest,
visit soon, as items move quickly. Pictures of current items are under 'Clothes Closet' in the Photo Gallery of the web site .
The CC was born Oct. 2007, the brainchild of Gretchen Carrels and Debra
Durham. Clean, gently used clothes may be shared by putting them in the bin in
